My Plate: A Real Infographic Design of Food plate

 How you design your cloths, jewellery, you needs to meticulously plan your food plate

consider few points as follows :

Nutrition: The key principle to keep in mind while planning a plate is the choices of food chosen should be nutritious. 80% of the food that goes into plate should nourish your body inside out. The food we consume can only do justice to our health if it is nutrient dense. As it is rightly said Healthy Body Lead to Healthy mind, it is important to maintain good nutritional status to lead better quality of life.  A poor choice of food now can have adverse effect in future.

Age: since conception till we live, nutrition needs tends to vary as individual grows. The amount and types of food consumed changes from infancy to toddler to adolescence to adult to elderly. Designing MyPlate  is like setting up every nutrient , which depends on age, their health condition, physical activity.


Taste: First look of my plate is very important, be it a toddler or elderly individual the choice of food to be consumed greatly is influenced by its taste. An individual uses all 5 sense to evaluate the food he consumes and taste being one of the major factor brings about a sense of comfort zone. Unless an individual is happy with texture and taste of food, the food won’t be consumed even if its nutrient dense. The platting of food consumed can also influence the taste factor and make it more acceptable for person to consume.


Cost Factor:  One needs to think smart while choosing his food and not think expensive. Economical factors play key role in choosing the food an individual eats. Only when food fits in budget, a family enjoys every bite of food happily. Nutritious food doesn’t have to always be expensive. It is all about right choice of food from the ones available in market and right combination of the food. A simple “Vegetable Dal Khichdi” with added desi ghee is a wonderful nutritious recipe with right balance of proteins, carbohydrates and veggies.


Seasonal: Every season comes with certain foods for that particular season It is important to choose fresh and seasonal food to get maximum benefits. Benefits of consuming seasonal food is firstly they are economical easy to purchase during that time and secondly fresh in market.  Chances of spoilage is minimal hence maximum benefits of nutrients can be gained.

Even if half an hour of 24 hours you give to your own self , you can get a healthy body.
