Nutrition: The key principle to keep in mind while planning a plate is the choices of food chosen should be nutritious. 80% of the food that goes into plate should nourish your body inside out. The food we consume can only do justice to our health if it is nutrient dense. As it is rightly said Healthy Body Lead to Healthy mind, it is important to maintain good nutritional status to lead better quality of life. A poor choice of food now can have adverse effect in future.
Age: since conception till we live, nutrition needs tends to vary as individual grows. The amount and types of food consumed changes from infancy to toddler to adolescence to adult to elderly. Designing MyPlate is like setting up every nutrient , which depends on age, their health condition, physical activity.Cost Factor: One needs to think smart while choosing his food and not think expensive. Economical factors play key
role in choosing the food an individual eats. Only when food fits in budget, a
family enjoys every bite of food happily. Nutritious food doesn’t have to always
be expensive. It is all about right choice of food from the ones available in
market and right combination of the food. A simple “Vegetable Dal Khichdi” with
added desi ghee is a wonderful nutritious recipe with right balance of proteins,
carbohydrates and veggies.
Even if half an hour of 24 hours you give to your own self ,
you can get a healthy body.
