Oil consumption V/S Advertisement
Everyday we prepare food right !. Indian families can't think life without oils .Oils are an important part of the daily diet Let’s Discuss why oil to use every day (Konsa oil Accha hey : such question are often asked by every second person ) to understand why do we require oils : isn’t it interesting that oils are good for you? Oils are required for many bodily functions: As source of energy and it protects the skeleton, nerves. One can get agree, with the fact that not all oils are good: Trans fats can raise cholesterol levels and increase disease risk. In general oil are liquid at room temperature.our body needs essential oils which has to come through our food.
- Food products Such as nuts,
seeds, avocados, beans, whole grains, and vegetables are good source of omega 3.
- Trans fats comes from repeated use of oil from deep frying.
Here we are presenting two Indian staple oils used since years: Peanut oil and coconut oils are really good and have health benefits

Survy result (Sample size = 76) : as per recent survey done , we got interesting finding :

The age group of the sample is
between 18 years to 60 years of the age
·
Majority prefer sunflower oil
(77.6%) followed by rice-bran (27.6%) and coconut oil (25%)
·
Majority had 4 members in the
family (45.3%). It varied from 1 member to 9 members in the family
·
The amount of oil used monthly
by the sample ranges from 0.5L to 9L
·
The various brand used mostly
by the individuals include Gemini, Fortune, Saffola
Critic: People use what they see on TV, Social network. Advertisement play important role in daily decision making process. Decisions are getting impacted by marketing, since oils which are not marketed much are not having much consumption rate as compare with other oils. In our sample size respondent were not consuming ground nut oil. In spite of having good source of monosaturated fats, have positive health benefits that has proven since years.as our fore father and parents are using. People are consuming as per advertisement review. Sometimes thats misleading . Oils are not having cholesterol as they are plant based.
